One Step Ahead Awards

The One Step Ahead section on Wonkosphere lists blogs whose posts the previous day represent the collective buzz on all blogs on a given day. Somehow these blogs are "ahead of the pack," anticipating or maybe driving talk in the Wonkosphere.

To recognize those blogs who appear frequently on the list and give our users a long-term view of who is a step ahead, we have created the Wonkosphere One Step Ahead Award. At the end of eac month, we compile the One Step Ahead results across all the lists for all the days in that month, computing a sum-of-ranks score ((position 1 gets a 10, position 2 gets a 9, and so on). We then select the top five blogs in the liberal, conservative, and independent spheres as our awardees.

Awardees are entitled to brag about their prescience and to display the official award badge shown here on their blog site. On this page we'll keep a record of past month's awardees.
