Christopher John Dodd (born May 27, 1944) is an American lawyer and politician from Willimantic, Connecticut. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Dodd served as a U.S. Representative from Connecticut from 1975 until 1981, when he became a U.S. Senator. He has been a Connecticut senator since 1989 and is now the senior Senator.
